See what he says in the following Question & Answer:

What is your job as an intern at Play.fm?

As an intern, the Play.fm team tries to involve me into their work routine as much as they can. So I am assisting them on bigger projects as well as on daily tasks. My work here includes the assistance in establishing partnerships, research work in all kinds of fields and working on marketing related concepts. At the moment I started research on potential partners (Clubs, Artists, Labels,..) in Sweden, since I spent a longer period of time there and therefore am quite familiar with its music scene. Other bigger projects I m currently involved in include the planning of a DJ competition, the development of a concept for the upcoming Ambassadors Program and the improvement of Play.fm’s social media integration.

Why did you apply for an internship at Play.fm?

I graduated in December with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and I have to wait till June to start my Master’s Program. Since I can’t sit on my ass for almost half a year I was looking for internships on the Internet. Eventually I came across an ad for a marketing internship at Play.fm. I had been listening to sets on Play.fm for quite some time so I was already familiar with the brand and also had a very positive attitude towards it. Additionally, my Master’s Program will be in Creative Production and Arts Management, which made the whole music industry aspect of Play.fm a main factor in applying for the internship. For that reason and also because I specialized in marketing in my previous studies, I thought of it as the perfect opportunity to get some practical experience in the field I am planning to work in and to fill the gap between my studies.

What is the feature you like the most on Play.fm?

I am a big fan of the Play.fm iPhone app. It’s just really convenient to have all the Sets in your pocket at any time during the day, especially when you get bored by the music on your iPod.

Tell us something about yourself? What does your life look like?

At the moment I am in some kind of exciting phase of my life. I have just finished my Bachelor’s degree in Vienna and I am about to move to Australia for 2 years to do my Master’s degree there. It is a huge step for me and I can’t wait to go there. I love going to different places and also spent half a year in Sweden on exchange. I had an amazing time there and I am sure Australia won’t be any different. What comes after that is up in the air.

What is your favourite mix on Play.fm?

Well, there are quite a lot, but one of them is definitely the 2 Many DJs Set – Live Sudoeste.

Name your current favourite artists?

The Bloody Beetroots
Boys Noize

Crystal Castles
Miike Snow
Ratatat
The xx
Drivepilot
F.O.O.L

….and many more

Best club you’ve ever been to?

It has to be a tie between Razzmatazz in Barcelona, Webster Hall in New York and F12 in Stockholm.

…and the best live performance?

The best concert performance was probably by The Arcade Fire at a festival in Bologna.
And when it comes to electronic music/DJs it would be either Boys Noize at Webster Hall or The Bloody Beetroots at Arena Wien.

Can you remember which was the first album you ever bought?

I m not quite sure if it was really the first album ever but I guess “Americaner” (1998) from The Offspring was one of the first albums which I bought myself and also kinda mattered to me.

What makes you go mad?

When people talk about things they have no idea about.

What is your favourite place in the world?

I m kind of a city guy so I was really amazed by New York. I like how every district is completely different and unique. I guess you could live there and basically find something new and interesting each single day. I can definitely see myself spending a longer period of time there at some point in my life.

What are you doing on your day off?

Get up really late, hang out with friends, going out…really just the usual things.

What would we find in your refrigerator right now?

Definitely milk that went bad.

Give us five of your all time favourite tracks.

Radiohead – Idioteque
Vitalic – Second Lives
65 Days Of Static – Radio Protector
At The Drive-In – Invalid Litter Dept.
Justice – Phantom 2 (Live Version)
